Visitors to Happy Jack Lodge & RV Park are required to observe common sense rules that are designed to protect the Park
and the National Forest, its Natural Resources, the health and safety of its visitors. Happy Jack Lodge & RV Park expects
visitors to observe these rules. Visitors found in violation of rules may face removal from the facilities, and the possibility of
other criminal or legal action.
- Audio Devices: Inappropriate use of radios, televisions, musical instruments, etc. are a source of major irritation to other visitors to the park, so please operate them in a responsible manner.
- Behavior: Fighting, loud or irritating behavior is prohibited. Please keep noise at a reasonable level. Be considerate of your fellow visitor.
- Business Activities: Business pursuits, solicitation or any other commercial activities in the park are prohibited without prior approval.
- Cabins: ALL CABINS AND SUITES ARE NON-SMOKING.
- NO PETS ARE ALLOWED IN NON-DESIGNATED CABINS AND SUITES. THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $250 CLEANING FEE FOR GUESTS WHO VIOLATE THESE RESTRICTIONS.
- Campfires: Visitors must observe fire restrictions. Fires may be restricted, or prohibited, as prescribed by County Codes. Campground hosts will notify visitors of fire restrictions. Remember--Keeping your campfire under control is your responsibility! Make sure your campfire is completely extinguished before leaving your site. Do not leave your campfire unattended. Keep flammable materials away from campfires. Do not start campfires with gasoline or camping fuel! Firewood may be available from your facilities host.
- Camping: The use of the sites and other areas is restricted from visitors and noise during the hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. (unless otherwise posted). Personal possessions and camping equipment cannot be left unattended for more than 24 hours without permission of Happy Jack Lodge LLC. Happy Jack Lodge LLC. is not responsible for any loss or damage to your personal property. Please remove all personal property and trash when leaving.
- Check-in/Check-out: The check in time for the cabins is 3pm and the check in time for the RV & tent sites is 1p.m. Check out time is 11a.m.
- Equipment/ATV/RzR Operation: Happy Jack Lodge LLC must approve the operation of non-licensed power-driven equipment in the recreation area. This includes ATVs/RzRs, unlicensed vehicles or other motorized equipment that is not in compliance with local laws or is deemed a safety hazard to other visitors. All vehicles must observe 5 MPH. ATV’s/RzRs are to be ridden to and from cabin or campsite out to the forest only, not around the park. No unlicensed drivers under age 16 may operate any motorized vehicles ATV golf cart or dirt bike on the premises. No children sitting on laps. No loud operation after 9 p.m. Use only the road from the park or the main entrance to access the forest. Do not go on side trails.
- Federal and State Laws: Visitors and users of Happy Jack Lodge are subject to federal regulations and state law. The points of conduct listed in this bulletin are generally included as enforceable through federal regulations or state law. Violation of laws and regulations are subject to punishment by a fine or imprisonment. Persons who violate the rules that are not enforceable by law are subject to eviction from the recreation facility.
- Fireworks and Firearms: Regulations prohibit the use of firearms and fireworks within the confines of the Happy Jack Lodge Recreation Facility. Federal, state and local statutes govern the legality of discharging firearms or any deadly weapons near a recreation area. Regardless, discharge of firearms or deadly weapons is not permitted: within 450 yards of the park or occupied area; on, or across a road or body of water. Unless pre-authorized by management.
- General: Safety is “Your” responsibility. The Lodge is a natural environment and exposes the visitor to many hazards outside the control of Happy Jack Lodge LLC. Be alert to your environment and the consequences of your actions at all times. When hiking, etc. use the buddy system! Stay on marked trails. Be aware of changing weather conditions. Tell someone of your plans and your return time when you leave the Lodge. Any closures, restrictions, or notifications that may be in effect (or changing) will be posted at the front desk in the store. Your host can provide you with additional information. Additionally, the Forest Service offices offer the visitor many additional points of information that will enhance their visit to the forest.
- Site Occupancy: Cabin occupancy is limited 2 to 4 persons. Site occupancy is limited to 6 persons. Exceptions are granted to large families. Two vehicles per cabin and one non-rv vehicle is allowed per RV site or tent. No tents in Full Hookup RV sites. Motorcycles and bicycles are to be parked in the site in designated parking areas. Storage boxes, garbage cans and other non-camping equipment is prohibited. Additional vehicle parking is available, see the front desk. All guests must register at the front desk.
- Pets: All pets must be registered at the front desk. A leash must restrain pets at all times. The leash must be no longer than 6 feet. Pets are restricted from public events and playground areas. Pets must be refrained from disturbing other visitors especially during quite hours. Owners are responsible for cleaning up waste from their pets. Saddle, pack or draft animals are only permitted in authorized areas. We have pet friendly rooms for an added fee.
- Prevent Pollution: Keep garbage, litter, and foreign substances out of the park, forest, lakes, streams, and other water. Please use trashcans.
- Property: It is Happy Jack Lodge’s goal to preserve the natural environment of the park and the National Forest for the enjoyment of all visitors. So, please do not cut, carve, or chop or damage any living trees. Preserve and protect your National Forests. Leave natural areas the way you find them. Buildings, structures, or enclosed areas in National Forest may be entered only when expressly opened to the public. Federal, state and local statutes protect historic and prehistoric sites. Disturbing these sites may subject you to prosecution.
- Quiet/Dark Hours: Quiet hours are to be observed from 10 p.m. To 7 am. Please turn off all music, generators and refrain from making any loud activity or noises. Also please turn off all outside lights.
- Refuse Containers: Refuse containers located in this recreation facility are reserved for the use of visitors paying a use fee for this facility. The use of these containers by anyone other than visitors holding valid receipt is prohibited and may be subject to prosecution.
- Firewood: Only dead and downed wood may be harvested from the forest without a permit. Firewood is available at the store.
- Water Usage: Potable water resources are limited at Happy Jack Lodge and in the forest, please restrict the use of water to personal use. Use toilets properly. Do not throw garbage, litter, fish cleaning, or other foreign substances in toilets, plumbing fixtures and dump station. Absolutely no vehicle washing is allowed.
RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
- CABINS: TWO NIGHT WEEKEND STAY POLICY ON CABINS. THREE NIGHT HOLIDAY WEEKEND STAY POLICY ON CABINS. THIRTY DAY (30) CANCELLATION OR CHANGE NOTICE ON CABINS FOR WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS AND SEVENTY-TWO HOURS (72) HOURS NOTIFICATION ON WEEKDAYS.
- RV SITES AND TENT SITES: TWO NIGHT WEEKEND STAY POLICY ON RV SITES. THREE NIGHT HOLIDAY WEEKEND STAY POLICY ON RV AND TENT SITES. THIRTY DAY (30) CANCELLATION OR CHANGE NOTICE ON RV SITES FOR WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS AND SEVENTY-TWO (72) HOURS NOTIFICATION ON WEEKDAYS. RAMADA AND BANQUET ROOM THIRTY (30) DAY CANCELLATION NOTICE ON RAMADA AND BANQUET ROOM. FROM MEMORIAL DAY TO LABOR DAY AND DURING HUNTING SEASON RESERVATIONS: THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELLATIONS OR EARLY DEPARTURES; NO EXCEPTION. NO REFUNDS FOR LONG TERM RV OR STORAGE. A cabin, RV site or tent campsites are available for reservation 30 days in advance. These facilities must be occupied the first night of the period they have been reserved, unless Happy Jack Lodge management has granted an exception.
- Sanitation: Please keep your site clean of all litter and waste. Food waste attracts wild animals that may endanger your safety. Waste and recycling containers are provided in this area. PLEASE HELP US KEEP THIS PARK AND THE NATIONAL FOREST CLEAN.
- Vehicle Operation: Your strict observation of traffic control devices helps ensure the safety of all visitors to the park. MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH. Additionally, traffic rules are subject to prosecution by law as prescribed by state & local statutes. Forests are wildlife havens; please do not disturb the wildlife with your vehicle operation. Avoid driving on wet, unpaved roads or trails. Within campgrounds and other recreation sites use cars, motorbikes, motorcycles, or other motor vehicles only for entering and leaving, unless areas or trails are specifically marked for them. Park only in designated parking areas. For the safety and convenience of other visitors, please do not block, restrict or otherwise interfere with the use of roads or trails. Obey area and trail restrictions on vehicle use or equipment.
- LOST OR NON-RETURNED KEY: THERE IS A $275.00 LOCKSMITH CHARGE IF YOU FAIL TO RETURN YOUR KEY UPON CHECK OUT.
- Cabin or RV site assignment: We have the right to re-assign any visitor to a comparable cabin or RV site if necessary for business needs.
